Yunseo Choi
President / Editor-in-Chief
Yunseo is a rising senior at Phillips Exeter Academy. She has been active in math competitions, having been invited to the Math Olympiad Program (MOP) from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, she was one of the 12 (and the only female!) winners of the USA Junior Math Olympiad. Yunseo's passion in mathematics naturally led her to research; she spent the summer of 2019 at Emory University's Research Experience for Undergraduates program, where she co-authored a paper that has been recommended for publication at the Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society. Yunseo has extended her pursuit towards mathematics research into the school year as a part of the MIT PRIMES program through which she is conducting research in applied mathematics. Yunseo will continue her endeavors in mathematics through the Virtual Research Science Institute (RSI) program this summer. At school, Yunseo is part of the top 8-person math team and is the founder and cohead of the Girls in STEM club. When she is not grappling with mathematics, Yunseo works as a Disco-Jockey (DJ) at her school's radio station and enjoys playing her guitar!
